Police seeking family to identify slain man, `Overdose’

The Police are seeking the public’s assistance to locate the family of a man who died on Saturday last, after he was found with a stab wound to his chest.

Police in a statement to the press yesterday said that the man has since been identified by his alias, “Overdose.” He was found lying on Hadfield Street, bleeding from a suspected stab wound to the stomach. Public-spirited citizens offered assistance and he was rushed to the Georgetown Public Hospital, where he died shortly after, whilst receiving medical attention.

Police in the statement said they are seeking to locate the family to positively and correctly identify the victim and witness the autopsy.

A prime suspect who goes by the alias “Nick-Knock”, of Stevedore Housing Scheme, is being sought, the statement added. 

The body is presently at the Lyken’s Funeral Home.
