(Trinidad Express) A soldier has been detained at the Cumuto Barracks. He is being investigated for the allegedly rape of several school girls.
The police say they know nothing of these reports and as far as they are concerned none of their investigators have been approached by anyone in the military regarding the allegations made against the soldier.
On Wednesday a WhatsApp post suggested that the private from the Cumuto Barracks coerced a girl to visit a house (location unknown) where he reportedly drugged and raped her. It is also alleged that he worked with a school-aged girl who helped him lure other victims.
The Express attempted to get an update from the Regiment regarding these allegations but despite repeated calls and text messages there was no immediate response.
