(Barbados Nation) The Mighty Gabby is still going strong.

The veteran entertainer and Cultural Ambassador, real name Anthony Carter, is in his Clapham, St Michael home resting after being in hospital. However, during a brief telephone interview on Monday, he said while he was hopeful, he was not out of the woods yet.

“I have to go back to the hospital soon, early in January, for surgery. I can still move around but my problem is pain in the morning for a short time. The doctors say they know what is happening so after the operation I should be okay – don’t panic,” he added.

Gabby said he wanted to thank all those who wished him well and visited him, both in the hospital and at home, after receiving more than 700 messages on his phone.
