Jamaica: Man shot dead, friend wounded while playing dominoes

 (JAMAICA OBSERVER) A man was shot dead and another left nursing injuries after they were pounced on by armed men while playing dominoes at a shop in Three Miles River district, Westmoreland last night.

Dead is 37-year-old Fitzroy Cole, otherwise called ‘Pepe’, a farmer of Geneva district in the parish.

The Frome police have since launched an investigation surrounding the shooting which took place at about 8:55 pm.

According to a report from the police’s Corporate Communications Unit, Cole and another male were playing dominoes when two gunmen entered and opened gunfire hitting them multiple times.

The police were summoned and both men taken to hospital where Cole was pronounced dead and the other man admitted in serious but stable condition.
