(Trinidad Express) A Florida man is accused of killing of his ex-girlfriend, Trinidad-born Jenny Koonoolai-Jagdeo, and another man.

Their bodies were found Thursday morning in an apartment in Miami.

The suspect, Thales Ferreira, 27, faces two counts of first-degree murder.

According to news reports, Miami-Dade police were called to the apartment after being informed about a man’s body near the front door.

The dead man was identifed as 26-year-old Michael Tarulli.

In the apartment was the body of Jenny Koonoolai-Jagdeo, 32.

Both had been shot multiple times, authorities said.

A neighbour reported hearing at least ten gunshots.

According to police, they were called to the same apartment late Wednesday night regarding a suspicious person banging on the front door.

Koonoolai-Jagdeo told officers that her ex-boyfriend, the suspect, had been stalking her. Police were provided with a description of the boyfriend.
