2 murders overnight in south Trinidad

(Trinidad Guardian) A La Ro­maine man was shot dead not far from his home on Fri­day night.

He has been iden­ti­fied as Quil­lon Hud­son, 30, of Pearl Street.

Po­lice said around 10pm, Hudson was at the side of the road when a car pulled up along­side him and an oc­cu­pant shot him. He was rushed to the San Fer­nan­do Gen­er­al Hos­pi­tal where he died.

Po­lice said Hud­son was not known to them. They have not yet as­cer­tained a mo­tive be­hind the shooting.

Of­fi­cers of the San Fer­nan­do CID and the Homi­cide Bu­reau of In­ves­ti­ga­tions are in­ves­ti­gat­ing.

In the sec­ond in­ci­dent, po­lice are in­ves­ti­gat­ing the stab­bing death of Deshorn Par­son, 17, of Fan­ny Village, Point Fortin.

Po­lice say Par­son was stabbed dur­ing an ar­gu­ment which broke out while he was lim­ing with friends out­side a bar ear­ly yesterday.

Ac­cord­ing to re­ports, around 2am some of Par­son’s friends got in­to an ar­gu­ment with an­oth­er group of men. Dur­ing the ar­gu­ment, one man from the oth­er group pulled out a knife and stabbed Par­son and some of his oth­er friends. The at­tack­er fled the scene as par­son’s friends rushed to as­sist him. A video of the in­ci­dent which was post­ed to so­cial me­dia show his friends try­ing to keep him alive while await­ing an am­bu­lance.
