The preliminary inquiry (PI) into the charge against Sherwin Roberts, who is charged with murdering his one-year-old niece, commenced yesterday in a city court.
The charge against Roberts is that on September 1st, 2017, at Lot 98 North Sophia, Greater Georgetown, he murdered Ronasha Pilgrim.
The prosecution presented four witnesses, including the child’s father, Ron Pilgrim, and three police officers, who testified before Chief Magistrate Ann McLennan, who is presiding over the proceedings.
The PI is expected to continue today.
