Biker injured in Wallers Delight accident

A thirty-year-old motorcyclist who last night allegedly rode into the rear of a stationary vehicle on the Wallers Delight Public Road, WCD, is warded at the GPHC in a serious condition.

He was transferred from the West Demerara Regional Hospital in an unconscious state and remains in the said condition at this time, police said last night.

Enquiries revealed that Cappel Deo, of 408 Crane Housing Scheme, WCD, was proceeding west along the southern carriageway of the road on his motor cycle CD 4517 about 7 pm when he allegedly lost control and collided with motor car PDD 4714 which was parked on the southern corner of the road.

The victim, who after the impact, fell onto the surface and sustained injuries, was picked up in an unconscious state and rushed to the West Demerara Regional Hospital.

The driver of the vehicle is in custody and assisting with the probe.
