Mother of six on attempted murder charge after stabbing brother

A mother of six was yesterday remanded to prison after she was accused of stabbing her brother, who remains hospitalised in a critical condition.

Hazel Gonsalves, 32, was brought before acting Chief Magistrate Sherdel Isaacs-Marcus in Georgetown, where she was read the attempted murder charge.

The charge alleges that on March 11th, at 1 Mile Potaro Road with intent to commit murder, Gonsalves unlawfully and maliciously wounded Keron Gonsalves.
