Former Buxton/Foulis NDC chairman charged with cultivating ganja

Former Chairman of the Buxton/Foulis Neighbourhood Democratic Council Randolph Blair was last Wednesday charged with cultivating cannabis on his property.

Blair appeared before Magistrate Peter Hugh at the Vigilance Magistrate’s Court, where the charge was read to him. According to the charge, on March 9th, 2018, at Buxton, East Coast Demerara, Blair was found to be cultivating the illegal plant on his property.

The police’s case is that the illegal cannabis plants and seedlings were found in buckets at Blair’s property after ranks from ‘C’ Division received information about the cultivation.

Blair pleaded not guilty and was granted his release on $150,000 bail. His next hearing is slated for March 29th.
