Lindo Creek CoI seeking urgent contact with former joint services personnel

The Commission of Inquiry (CoI) into the 2008 Lindo Creek killings is seeking to make contact with a number of former joint services personnel.

The CoI, which is presently on hold, has published ads in the daily newspapers seeking to make contact with the persons. It didn’t state the reason but it appears that it would like these persons to testify before it.

It listed the persons as:

1)      Ayodele Woolford, former lieutenant of the Guyana Defence Force.

2)      Dwand Cambridge, former Assistant Superintendent of the Guyana Police Force.

3)      Colonel Lloyd Souvineer

4)      Captain Sheldon Howell

5)      Major Fitzroy Ward

6)      Private Taylor

7)      Private Quailo

8)      Philbert Bobb

It said that these persons as well as anyone knowing their whereabouts are asked to make urgent contact with the CoI by visiting the Commission’s Secretariat at the Ministry of the Presidency, calling telephone number 227-2292 or emailing lindocoi@dps.gov.gy .

The CoI is inquiring into the circumstances surrounding the killings of Cecil Arokium, Dax Arokium, Horace Drakes, Bonny Harry, Lancelot Lee, Compton Speirs, Nigel Torres and Clifton Berry Wong on or about 21st day of June, 2008 and to report its findings and recommendations to President David Granger.
