Amazon Warriors need aggressive, balanced team to bring home CPL crown

Dear Editor,

Recently it was announced that the draft for the 2018 CPL will be held in London and I will like to make a few comments on the composition of the Guyana Amazon Warriors team for 2018. First of all I would like to call on the owner of the franchise Mr. Bobby Ramroop to fire Omar Khan as the manager and Roger Harper as the coach of the team. They should not be allowed to be involved in the draft in London simply because they picked a very poor team in 2017.

Except for Martin Guptill and Chadwick Walton our batting line-up was hopeless. We did not have a balanced batting line-up. We needed more firepower in the middle and lower order. We also needed at least two more wicket-taking bowlers who can bowl at the death. Overall these two gentlemen did a very poor job and if the Guyana Amazon Warriors hope to win the CPL this year we have to start with new management who will pick a more aggressive and balanced team, players who are suited for the 20/20 format.

I sincerely hope that the owners of the Warriors will take my suggestions on board and give us a team that will bring home the CPL crown this year.

Yours faithfully,

Imtiaz Baccus
