Regret over mistakes at Critchlow ceremony

Dear Editor,

I want to make a public apology at it relates to the Hubert Nathaniel Critchlow wreath-laying ceremony on April 29, 2018, at his statue in the compound of Guyana’s Parliament Building. It was a big error and oversight as Chair of the programme not allowing Comrade Eon Andrews, Vice President of the GTUC to give the vote of thanks. It was a vital part of the programme.  I take full responsibility and criticism for the lapse and also the wrong pronunciation of the comrade’s name from FITUG due its absence from the programme. I do share many regrets on this solemn occasion.

Yours faithfully,

Sherwood Clarke

Vice President GTUC
