In my letter, which was published in your Saturday, June 16, 2018 edition, I inadvertently said that the incumbent Human Resources Manager (HRM) was employed by the Guyana Elections Commission (GECOM) in early 2017. This is incorrect. In fact, the incumbent HRM joined GECOM in early 2016.
It is important that this correction be published to convey that I “held the fort” in managing the GECOM Human Resources Division for approximately six months only, i.e. from mid-2015 to early 2016, and not 2017, as conveyed in my letter.
