‘We ain’t winning the Prize so we need to change the rules’

Dear Editor,

I have been following the exchanges in your columns on the Guyana Prize for

Literature with some interest.

To precis, the major point is ‘We ain’t winning the Prize so we need to change the rules!’ Hmm. That is not to say the magic circle nature of the current situation engenders total confidence.
