Noisy security service in Prashad Nagar

Dear Editor,

Secure Innovations & Concepts Inc. provides 24 hours security services to oil giant ExxonMobil’s rental premises at Prashad Nagar wreaking havoc to residents of a quiet neighbourhood with noise pollution.

Several avenues were explored to have these issues corrected both with Secure Innovations & Concepts Inc. and ExxonMobil.  To date, we have   not received any satisfactory response so I am extending it to the media   so that it can be publicly known what we have to go through daily and nightly.  All the talk of partnership and great services is simply rubbish.  For the past 10 plus months that Secure Innovations’ guards have been stationed at this premises in Prashad Nagar it’s been one drama after the other.

They announced their arrival in the neighbourhood  by washing their security vehicle at approximately 4.30 am disturbing the peace and quietness of the neighbourhood. Their radio sets are at the highest volume most of the time.  Their guards and security checkers are extremely loud, rude and ill mannered.  One guard in particular speaks with the most colourful  language in his conversations on his phone and with his associates.  The hitting of metal and the beating of a mat on a tree trunk instead of shaking the mat out and sweeping in the wee hours of  morning are also common.  He also gives live commentary during the nights.  Now he has a trainee with him it’s worse. 

As I write to   you there is a live commentary going on with him. His wake up calls to the residents is his loud music from his car at approximately 5 am until he leaves and his encore is his honking of his car horn like when you are in a wedding procession.  His music and car horn can be heard as far as two streets away. We always thought that security companies were disciplined,  trained, and were taught to modulate their voices and radio sets to suit the time of the night.  However, these guards are exceptional. 

Calls to their head office are treated with disrespect.  At first they took the calls and complaint now they disconnect the calls and in recent months they have blocked calls.  Their visiting checkers are just as ill-mannered.
