It has been over one year since we the pensioners of the city constabulary have been fooled.
From 2017 to 2018 the Mayor and City Council kept promising to pay us our retroactive which was due over one year ago. In June 2018 they paid us the increase in our pension and told us the retroactive would be paid before local government election. Local government elections are finished and they did not pay us our retroactive. Instead they paid us the October pension in November after elections which clearly proved they don’t want to pay us what rightfully belongs to us.
Come on, we don’t even know when they would pay us our November pension. Punishing Christmas for we the pensioners of the city constabulary. Sad.
We are kindly asking the local government minister and the President of Guyana, Mr. David Granger to look into this matter and help us the pensioners of the city constabulary who served the Mayor and City Council over thirty years.
