Dear Editor,
I have been prominently named in your article `Integrity body names 87 officials who failed to declare assets’ (SN, Nov. 11, 2018) which followed a full page notice published by the Integrity Commission. The article quotes Chairman Kumar Doraisami as promising legal action against delinquent officials for failing to meet the filing deadline of 30th June.
Following the above, Transparency Institute Guyana Inc. publicly hailed the publishing of the names of delinquent persons.
As one of the delinquents I shall shortly be writing to Chairman Doraisami, explaining the reason for my inability to file as there are penalties for inaccurate declarations; a correspondence I intend to copy to the Speaker of the National Assembly and all Members of Parliament.
