Permission for the construction of this concrete structure that would house a stall in the Stabroek Market Bazaar was granted by the Town Clerk Royston King through the Clerk of Markets. Stabroek News was told that the vendor who occupies the space operates a beverage distribution business and approached the markets and revenue collection department to construct a permanent structure.A revenue clerk during a visit to the market said nothing was illegal with the construction of the permanent stall as the vendor sought the necessary permission and it is customary for the Clerk of Markets to give permission if necessary to construct a stall.
