Trophy Stall Hamilton Green 9-a-side football competition set to commence Sunday

The Trophy Stall, Hamilton Green 83rd birth anniversary 9-a-side Inter-Ward football competition will kick-off on Sunday at the Den Amstel Community Centre ground.

The event, staged in honour of the former Prime Minister and Mayor, was rescheduled from November 2017 due to the inclement weather.

In the opening fixture Jetty will oppose Plaisance at 14:00hrs, Zeelugt battles Kuru-Kururu from 14:30hrs and Wales tackles Sara Lodge at 15:00hrs.

The fourth fixture will pit Crane Rovers against Soesdyke from 15:30hrs, while Poudeoryen lock horns with Bagotsville at 16:00hrs and Crane engages Friendship from 16:30hrs.

The final two fixtures will pit Uitvlugt against Vege Boyz from 17:00hrs and Den Amstel against Tiger Bay at 17:30hrs.

The tournament will conclude on February 4th at the same venue, with the resulting quarterfinals, semi-finals and final.

The eventual champion and runner-up prize monies of $70,000 and $30,000 respectively are donated compliments of Banks DIH Limited.

Ricks and Sari Food Hampers will also be presented to the champion alongside blankets from Food for the Poor Guyana Incorporated.

On the individual side, the highest goal scorer will receive a table set compliments of China Trading while runners-up in this category will pocket a ‘Lazy boy Chair’ from A.H& L. Kissoon. All the trophies have been donated by Trophy Stall.
