Hamilton Green Cup set for grand finish tomorrow

The quarterfinals of the Hamilton Green 83rd Birth Anniversary 9-a-side Inter-Ward Football Cup kick-offs tomorrow at the Den Amstel Community Centre ground.

In the opening fixture at 14:0hhrs, Pouderoyen FC opposes Plaisance, while the second matchup at 14:30hrs will pit Crane against Soesdyke.

In the third fixture, Uitvlugt will faceoff against Sara Lodge from 15:00hrs while Crane Rovers will lock horns with Tiger Bay at 15:30hrs.

Upon the conclusion of the aforesaid matches, the semi-final round will commence. This will be followed by the grand finale.

Prior to the commencement of the quarterfinal matches, four teams will faceoff for the Brian Tiwari Trophy and $20,000 in a knockout competition.

At 13:00hrs, Bagotville will match skills with Wales, while home side Den Amstel tackles Zeelugt from 13:30hrs. The final of this section will be contested before the main tournament finale.

The eventual champion and runner-up prize monies of $70,000 and $30,000 respectively are donated compliments of Banks DIH Limited.

Ricks and Sari Food Hampers will also be presented to the champion alongside blankets from Food for the Poor Guyana Incorporated.

On the individual side, the Highest Goal Scorer will receive a table set compliments of China Trading, while runner-up in this category will pocket a ‘Lazy boy Chair’ from A.H.& L. Kissoon. All trophies are donated by Trophy Stall.
