Floodlights to play in Bush Lot Mandir fundraiser

The Floodlights Cricket team heads to the Ancient County this weekend to take on Bush Lot on Friday as the two powerhouses go head-to-head in a grudge match.

The following night they will play another Berbice side in Albion at the Demerara Cricket Club Ground, Queenstown.

Fans cannot afford to miss this big hitting match which will be played in a hardball 20 overs-a-side format.

The match at DCC will begin at7pm while the game at Bush Lot is expected to bowl off from 11:30am.

The matches will serve as a family fun day to raise money in aid of the Bush Lot Mandir.

After the match fans can also see action in male and female Tug-o-War, Buns Eating competition, Needle-and-Thread and the ever entertaining greasy pig.

All prizes are sponsored by Trophy Stall and 4R.

Admission is set at $200 while children under 15 years will enter absolutely free.

Floodlights boasts an imposing team with the likes of Stephen Naraine (Capt.), Anil Beharry (V/Capt.), Aaron Beharry, Ajay Gainda, Ricky Deonarain, Robin Bacchus, Alex Algoo, Ramo Malone, Surendra Nauth, Khalid Baksh, Vicky Ramsaywack, Steve Massiah, Lloyd Ruplall and Navin Samlall all in the squad.

For the match against Albion this Saturday night, Rakesh Arjune , Ariel Persaud, Reyaz Hussain and Romeo Deonarain will be drafted into the side.
