The Sanjay’s Jewellery Classic Golf tournament which was postponed from two weekends ago due to inclement weather, will be held tomorrow from 12:30 pm, at the Lusignan Golf Club (LGC).

Sanjay Persaud of Sanjay’s Jewellery Store, 48 Sheriff St, Campbellville, the sponsor of the inaugural 2015 Free Summer Golf Clinic, has indicated that there are prizes for the top four Best Net scores, as well as Nearest to Pin, and Longest Drive, and for the first time ever, anyone making a Hole-in-One will win $100,000 for a charity.

Last Sunday, the Lusignan Golf Club held an Innovative Fun Greensome and Barbeque, with over 300 visitors in attendance, several of whom were first-timers participating in the Putting Competition, according to a press release from the LGC.

Close to 50 players took part in the two person – one golfer and one newbie – Best Ball Greensome. Four teams tied for the low net score of 27, requiring a countback to determine the placements. Hilbert and Danny Shields were declared the winning pair, followed by Lakeram Ramsundar and his daughter, with Aasrodeen Shaw and his caddy in third place, and Aleem Hussain and his caddy Dezo in fourth position.
