Bent Street among winners as Petra Futsal competition continues

Gold is Money, Bent Street, North East La Penitence, Ol Skool Ballers and Showstoppers were among the winning teams  when the Petra Organization Futsal Championship, continued on Tuesday at the National Gymnasium, Mandela Avenue.

The West Ruimveldt based unit, Gold is Money, humbled Sophia 4-1. The quartet of Jamal Pedro, Colin Nelson, Joshua Browne and Hubert Pedro etched their name on the scorer’s sheet in the sixth, 16th, 17th and 18th minute respectively.

On the other side, Dwayne Lowe netted in the 17th minute. Similarly, Bent Street dismantled California Square 5-0.

Ryan Hackett tallied a double in the sixth and 12th. He was assisted by the trident of Solomon Austin, Travis Lyken and Andrew Murray Jr, who scored in the 13th, 19th and 20th minute respectively.

Also, Ol Skool Ballers crushed New Market Street 4-1. Raushan Ritch registered a double in the 12th and 13th minute, while Fabian Crawford and Omari James scored in the 11th and 18th minute each.

For the loser, Orlando Ricketts found the back of the net in the 13th minute. Meanwhile, North East La Penitence made light work of Channel-9 Warriors by a 4-0 score line.

Kelvin Moore scored in the fifth and sixth minute, while relatives Mickel and Keifer Brandt netted in the 13th and 14th minute correspondingly.

West Demerara unit Showstoppers downed Tucville 6-4. Dexroy Adams recorded a hat-trick in the fifth, 13th and 18th minute, while Marvin Josiah, Ryan James and Trayon Bobb, added goals in the 12th, 13th and 19th minute respectively.

For the loser, Delon Williams, Jahaal Greaves, Raphael Edwards and older sibling Dennis Edwards netted in the third, sixth, 14th and 17th minute apiece.

On the other hand, Alpha Warriors dismissed Kingston 5-1. The tournament continues on Saturday at the same venue. At 19:00hrs, Alexander Village lock horns with Broad Street in the opening match.

In the second affair, Xtreme Campbellville will oppose New Market Street from 19:50hrs, while Tiger Bay will oppose Plaisance in the third clash at 20:40hrs.

The fourth match will witness North East La Penitence engaging California Square at 21:30hrs, while Sparta Boss will faceoff with Mocha from 22:20hrs.

In the final showdown at 23:15hrs, Ol Skool Ballers battles Future Stars.
