Sir Leon Lessons, Masters Academy and Annandale Secured quarterfinal berths in the Milo Secondary School Football Championship, following wins in the round of 16 section yesterday at the Ministry of Education ground, Carifesta Avenue.
Sir Leon Lessons dismantled Friendship 7-0. Lennox Young tallied four goals in the third, 10th, 45th and 48th minute, while Ryan Ramsey recorded a double in the 16th and 65th minute.
Adding a brace in the 74th minute was Julian Bamfield. Meanwhile, Masters Academy downed Bishops’ High 4-1.
Tyrone Khan registered a double in the fifth and 78th minute, while Isaiah McPherson and Calvin Peters scored in the first and 20th minute apiece. For the loser, Daren Chan netted in the 17th minute.
Also, Annandale edged Uitvlugt 2-1. Trevor Fiffee and Troni Semple scored in the 14th and 87th minute respectively. On target in the loss was Jonathan Leitch in the 19th minute.
Round of 16 section continues today at the same venue.
