NA United, Arsenal record lopsided victories in Watson U15 football

New Amsterdam (NA) United and Arsenal FC secured lopsided wins when the Berbice Zone of the Frank Watson Memorial U15 Football League continued Sunday at the Esplanade Ground.

NA United mauled Cougars 6-0. Charles Williams tallied a hat-trick in the sixth, 12th and 22nd minute while Nicquan Samuels and Jamal Lyte netted in the 58th and 61st minute respectively.

Adding to the score-line was an own goal in the 32nd minute. Similarly, Arsenal FC whipped Hopetown 5-1. Jafari Adams recorded a helmet-trick in the 13th, 48th, 52nd and 59th minute.

He was assisted by a 54th minute strike from Jaren Fontinelle. Scoring for the losers in the 12th minute was Dante Barker. Also, Hearts of Oak FC gained a walkover from East Bank Gunners.

Meanwhile, Orealla Falcons defeated Corriverton Links 2-1 at the Scottsburg ground on Saturday. Brett Sarius and Xavier Andrews scored in the eighth and 13th minute respectively.

On target in the loss was Terry Adams in the 43rd minute.

In their second match of the day, Orealla Falcons gained a walkover from Young Strikers.

It was the second consecutive no-show from Young Strikers and, according to members of the Berbice Football Association, an investigation will be launched.
