Demerara Cricket Club (DCC), playing at home, yesterday marched to a six-wicket win over Everest Cricket Club in the Toucan Distributors/Georgetown Cricket Association (GCA) U15 55 overs-a-side competition.
Batting first Everest posted 121 all out and DCC replied with 125-4.
For Everest, Avenash Rajkumar top scored with 24 while Varun Mangra and John Persaud scored 12 runs each. Off-spinner Inderjeet Nanan took 4-17 while Ezekiel Wilson supported with 3-17.
Everest faced 29 overs of the maximum of 55 overs.
Needing 122 for victory from 71 overs, Nanan made a quick-fire 28 while Jaden Campbell batted well for 27.
There were 66 extras while Rajkumar, Steven Madramootoo and Persaud picked up one wicket each.
