The Guyana National Industrial Corporation (GNIC)  ended day one of the weekend’s lone GISE/Star Party Rental/ Trophy Stall Georgetown Cricket Association (GCA) first-division, two-day competition on 125 – 3, 48 runs adrift from the Guyana Defence Force’s (GDF) first inning score when play was called yesterday at the Everest.

The day began with GDF winning the toss and electing to take the first strike.

They were, however, dismissed for 173 after being earlier reduced to 90 – 5. David Rajmangal, who laced three fours and two maximums in a knock of 51 was the main contributor. He got support from Terry Fraser, 27, and Wayne Joseph, 19.
