Headquarters gets the better of `C’ Division

Headquarters snuck past C division by 19 runs as the race to the final of the Police Commissioner’s T20 Cup competition continued yesterday at the Police Sports Club Ground, Eve Leary.

Batting first Headquarters posted 124-7 from their allotted overs with Kevin Boodie top scoring with 27, an innings which included three sixes and one four while D. Dodson aided with 22.

E. Harding restricted the free scoring of headquarters as he picked up 3-19 from his three overs while S. Johnson and R. Grosvenor picked up two wickets each.

In reply, `C’ Division were stifled despite Johnson’s 44 and R. Caleb’s 23. Dodson returned with the ball to trouble the batsmen with eventual figures of 2-22.

Two more matches are set for the same venue today with the first game at 9:30h.

The final will take place on April 14.
