Saints Sonics mauled North Ruimveldt Multilateral 17-0 in the boys category while Bingo Spartans clobbered BCC Hurricanes 12-0 in the girls category of the Guyana Hockey Board U-19 outdoor tournament at the St Stanislaus College Ground, Cariftesta Avenue on Saturday.

In other results, Old Fort defeated Georgetown Cricket Club The Sequels 4-2 in the Bounty Paper Towel second division outdoor league.

In the boys U-19 fixture, Troy Hodge netted six goals while Hilmar Chester added four and Ed Chinian, three in the biggest victory of the competition. GCC Pitbulls defeated Old Fort 2-0 in the other boys U-19 match.

In the female group, Abosaide Cadogan scored five goals including two in the 38th minute while her team mate, Alana Cheung bagged a hat trick in the win.

In another female encounter, Saints got the better of St. Joseph’s High.

Cherub Outar netted a hat trick for Saints in a 4-1 win.

In the second division clash, Old Fort found solace in the victory over GCC The Sequels thanks to Omar Hopkinson’s three goals in the first half of the 40 minute affair.

Hikers edged Saints 1-0 as Chinian scored in the 17th minute to end the day’s play. Action continues today with six more matches at the same venue from 15:00hrs.
