Bhaskar ‘Sachin’ Yadram celebrates scoring the first triple century at U19 level in Guyana.

A recording-breaking triple century from Bhaskar Yadram along with a fine spell from left-arm spinner Ashmead Nedd, left the national under – 17 side in totters, batting a second time and trailing by 298 runs at stumps on day two of Guyana Cricket Board/ Hand-In-Hand Mutual Fire and Life insurance, three-day U19 Inter-County tournament at Everest, yesterday.

Demerara resuming on 445-8 with Yadram beginning the day on 260, eventually declared their innings closed on 489 – 8 after Yadram recorded his recorded breaking triple century, an unbeaten 301.

His remarkable knock included 28 – fours and 17 sixes as Niran Bissu ended as the most successful bowler with 4-69 from 20 overs.The previous highest score was recorded by current Guyana Jaguars captain Leon Johnson who scored 193 against Essequibo in 2004.
