The second leg of the Triple Crown Series scheduled to run off today at the Rising Sun Turf Club has been postponed due to inclement weather.
According to organizer of the event, Nasrudeen Mohamed Jr. the new dates for the remaining legs will be disclosed “sometime in the new week”
Mohamed noted that the prevailing weather conditions ruled out any thoughts of the event being staged on the turf which is currently wet and muddy.
“For the safety of the patrons and the horses we had to make a decision to postpone the event” said Mohamed yesterday.
