International soft drinks brand, Pepsi and the Rose Hall Town Youth & Sports Club, (RHTY&SC) on Tuesday last renewed their long standing relationship.

Pepsi, a brand under the Demerara Distillers Limited (DDL) corporate umbrella renewed their cricket sponsorship of the Rose Hall Town Pepsi Under-19 and Intermediate for the fifteenth successive year during a simple presentation at the DDL Head Office, located at Diamond, East Bank, Demerara.

Club Secretary/Chief Executive Officer Hilbert Foster disclosed that the 2018 sponsorship deal is worth $240,000 and would cover the cost of balls for practice and matches, transportation, snacks and preparation of the two teams in what is expected to be the busiest year in Berbice Cricket.

Vice President of RHTY&SC Mark Papannah and Cricket Manager Robby Kissoonlall both expressed gratitude to Pepsi and DDL for their continued confidence in the RHTY&SC while noting that fifteen years of support is remarkable in a country where sports sponsorship is difficult to maintain.

Marketing Executive of DDL, Larry Wills expressed satisfaction with the relationship noting that they have been good representatives of the company and the Pepsi brand and expressed confidence that the relationship would continue into the future.
