Branford, Dannett, Assanah deliver opening win for Guyana

A stunning come-from-behind effort by Guyana’s male hockey team got them off to a winning start in the ongoing Central American and Caribbean Games (CAC) in Colombia yesterday.

The Guyanese collected their maximum three points after defeating the Dominican Republic 3-1 in their pool B encounter.

They had trailed 0 – 1 after only the second minute of play when Francisco Garcia scored.
