Soesdyke Falcons clinches East Bank football title

Soesdyke Falcons overcame a one-goal deficit to defeat Grove Hi-Tech 3-2 to clinch the East Bank Football Association Year-end Qualifier Tournament at the Diamond ground.

Orin Tasher scored the winning goal  in the 98th minute of extra time, after Delon Smith and Tyrone Khan scored in the 20th and 52nd minute respectively.

For Grove Hi-Tech, Nicholai Matthews and Tyrel Khan, a sibling of the aforementioned Khan scored in the 17th and 74th minute apiece.

With the result, both teams have earned the right to represent the zone at the Guyana Football Federation playoffs for their year-end Super 16 Knockout Tournament.
