Vera’s Finally will have its sights set on victory when the ‘Race of Champions’ meet is staged on December 2 at the Port Mourant Turf Club. In her last outing in August, she claimed victory in the feature event at the Guyana Cup.

Organizers of the highly anticipated Race of Champions meet billed for Sunday, December 2nd at the Port Mourant Turf Club are expecting a record-breaking event.

Reason? According to news reaching this newspaper, the nation’s fastest thoroughbreds, Vera’s Finally and Just Call Me Boss are on a collision course once again as both race horses have been registered to contest the feature C2 and lower 1300m event.

A new race record is anticipated as both steeds are reportedly firing on all cylinders in training.

Since being imported last July, the Florida-bred Vera’s Finally has won the Guyana Cup twice and the President Cup Championship.

The pride of the Jumbo Jet Racing Stables has only been defeated once in four starts.

On April 1, Just Call Me Boss sprung an upset of the championship chestnut filly on the same track the event will be staged.  A mouth- watering rematch is on the cards.
