SHARJAH, United Arab Emirates, CMC – West Indies Twenty20 skipper, Carlos Brathwaite turned in a decent all-round performance to help lift Rajputs to a 12-run win over Evin Lewis’s Punjabi Legends in the T10 League here yesterday.

Brathwaite smashed an unbeaten, nine-ball 23 with a couple of fours and sixes as Rajputs, sent in at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium, rallied to 117 for five off their 10 overs.

Captain Brendon McCullum top-scored with 28 from 15 balls while South African Rilee Roussouw chipped in with 26 and Afghan opening partner Mohammad Shahzad, 24.

Barbados-born England all-rounder, Chris Jordan, claimed two for 16.

In reply, Lewis’s wretched run of form continued as Legends were restricted to 105 for six off their allotted overs.

The left-handed Lewis departed lbw to the fourth ball of the run chase from Brathwaite, who ended with one for 18 from his two overs. In six innings in the tournament, Lewis has notched scores of 0, 10, 0, 6 and 4.

Philip Salt struck an unbeaten 34 from 17 balls and opener Umar Akmal, 34 from 19, but Legends still came up short.
