Browne’s ton too much for GYO

Stephon Browne blasted 102 to see his side to victory

A century from top order batsman, Stephon Browne allowed Malteenoes Sports Club to post a total too much for Gandhi Youth Organsation as they fell short by 23 runs on Sunday in the Georgetown Cricket Association/New Building Society 40-overs second division tournament.

Playing at the  GYO Ground, on Woolford Avenue, Malteenoes batted first and posted 223 in 39.5 overs and then bowled out the hosts for 201 in 39 overs.

Browne opened the batting but lost his partner, Shaquille Moseley who failed to score. He nevertheless carried on to smash 13 boundaries in his knock of 102 before being undone by Sachin Singh.
