-Albion, Tucber Park also record wins
The Berbice Cricket Board/Busta Champion of Champions 40-overs first division tournament bowled of on Sunday with Rose Hall Town Gizmos and Gadgets, Albion, Tucber Park and Young Warriors Cricket Club recording victories.
At Area H Ground, Rose Hall Town defeated Rose Hall Canje by eight wickets after reaching 92-2 in 21.4 overs in reply to Rose Hall Canje’s 90 all out. Rose Hall Canje faced just 22 overs with Sasenarine Singh and Harold Singh providing cameos of 22 and 29 respectively as Martin Singh chipped in with 15. Rose Hall Town’s skipper, Shawn Pereira continued his excellent form with the ball, collecting 3-26 and was supported by National Under-19 cousins, Junior Sinclair (3-22) and Kevin Sinclair (3-26).
Kevin Sinclair returned to muscle the Rose Hall Canje bowling on his way to 40 with Eon Hooper finishing unbeaten on 35. Isiah Thorne and Michael Campbelle were the only bowlers to find success.
