Northern Rangers crowned Turbo Knockout Football Champion

Northern Rangers was crowned the Turbo Knockout Football Champion, upsetting highly favoured Georgetown Football Club (GFC) 2-1 on Wednesday night at the Ministry of Education ground.

Nigel Denny and Stephon Reynolds scored for the winner in the 22nd and 63rd minute respectively. For the loser, Marcus Wilson netted in the 21st minute.

For winning, Northern Rangers walked away with $800,000 and the championship trophy, while the GFC collected $400,000 and the runner-up accolade.

Meanwhile, Mahaica Determinators defeated Santos 1-0 in the third place playoff. With the result, the Determinators pocketed $200,000 and a trophy, while Santos walked away with $100,000 and the corresponding accolade.
