Linden Technical Institute (LTI) will battle the Government Technical Institute (GTI) in the Youth Basketball Guyana’s ‘Titan Bowl’ U-19 finale, following their semi-final victories yesterday at the Cliff Anderson Sports Hall, Homestretch Avenue.
LTI dismantled fellow Linden unit Mackenzie High 87-41. Jamal Gilkes and Daniel Lee top scored in the rout with 27 and 23 points correspondingly.
For the loser, Shemar Savoury battled to 15 points, eight rebounds, while Ming Wong added nine points, six rebounds. On the other hand, GTI brushed aside Marian Academy 42-31. Jared Sears led the victor with figures of 12 points, seven rebounds, with Anton Fileen chipping in with 10 points.
For the loser, Akili Haynes tallied 12 points, 10 rebounds, while Shemar Atwell contributed 10 points.
Meanwhile, Marian Academy defeated St Roses High via walkover in the Girls Division.
