Timehri Panthers end Agricola Red Triangle’s unbeaten streak

Timehri Panthers handed Agricola Red Triangle its first loss in the East Bank Football Association/Ralph Green U-11 League, overcoming a two-goal deficit to win 3-2 yesterday at the Diamond Community Centre ground.

Jonathan Andries and Jermaine Taylor handed Agricola a 2-0 lead in the space of eight minutes, scoring in the 11th and 19th minute respectively. However, the comeback commenced in the 26th minute as Keron Williams scored. Captain Omar Sam then took over the contest, bagging a quick-fire double to steal the show. Sam levelled proceedings compliments of a 28th minute strike, before sealing the unexpected result with a 30th minute conversion.

Also, Grove Hi-Tech downed Diamond United 3-0. Joshua Fredericks, Jevon Pluck and Jamal Cordis scored in the first, 16th and 17th minute respectively. Meanwhile, Herstelling, Kuru-Kururu Warriors and Diamond Upsetters secured victories without breaking a sweat.

The event continues on Tuesday at the same venue with another round of matches.
