YWCC into Ivan Madray 100-ball final

Young Warriors Cricket Club (YWCC) continued their sublime form as they advanced to the final of the Berbice Cricket Board Ivan Madray 100-ball tournament with a victory over Albion Cricket Club by 36 runs in the first round before drawing a bye into the finals on Sunday.

YWCC booked their third straight first-division final after posting 103 from 98 balls and dismissing Albion for 67 in 13.5 overs at Albion.

YWCC were off to a slow start as national Under-19 cricketer Alex Algoo was bowled by left-arm spinner, Gourav Ramesh for 12 while Vishal Mohabir was undone by off-spinner Mahendra Chaitnarine for five.
