Trinidad and Tobago All-Stars downs Linden All-Stars 7-5

Roraima Galacticos, Team Guyana and Trinidad and Tobago All-Stars secured contrasting wins, when the inaugural ExxonMobil International Futsal Festival commenced  yesterday at the Cliff Anderson Sports Hall, Homestretch Avenue.

Witnessed by a large crowd, Team Guyana crushed the East Coast Demerara All-Stars 4-0 in the event opener.

Andrew Murray Jr, Delroy Dean and Rudy Halley scored in the 10th, 16th and 33rd minute respectively, while an own goal in the 26th minute added to the score line.

Similarly, Roraima Galacticos crushed West Demerara All-Stars 11-3. Raphael Lopes led the rout with a five goal burst in the third, ninth, 21st, 37th and 39th minute.

Assisting with a hat trick in the fifth, 22nd and 30th minute was Romailson DeJesus. 

Chipping in with goals in the 10th, 19th and 23rd minute were Luens Martins, Joao DaCosta and Arekson Andreatha respectively.

For the loser, Trayon Bobb bagged a double in the 38th and 40th minute, while Dexroy Adams added a goal in the 19th minute.

Meanwhile, Trinidad and Tobago All-Stars downed Linden All-Stars 7-5. Kerry Joseph and Jamal Williams bagged respective doubles, while Rondell Elcock, Kellon Woolley and Hashim Arcia recorded solitary conversions.

For Linden, Andre Haynes, Tyric Mcallister, Jermin Grandison, Jermaine Samuels and Deshawn Joseph scored one goal each.

Up to press time, Georgetown All-Stars was slated to oppose ZV All-Stars of Suriname. Prior to the commencement of the event, a march past featuring the competing teams occurred.

The tournament continues today at the same venue with another round of matches.
