The Lucas Stock Index (LSI) rose 1.17 percent during the second period of trading in May 2018. The stocks of four companies were traded with 62,847 shares changing hands. There were two Climbers and two Tumblers. The stocks of Republic Bank Limited (RBL) rose 7.87 percent on the sale of 50,000 shares, while the stocks of the Demerara Tobacco Company (DTC) rose 1.05 percent on the sale of 11,847 shares. On the other hand, the stocks of Banks DIH (DIH) fell 1.77 percent on the sale of 500 shares and the stocks of the Guyana Bank for Trade and Industry (BTI) fell 0.86 percent on the sale of 500 shares.
