DeLeon leads Chase Academy past Plaisance Secondary

Chase Academy downed Plaisance Secondary 40-30 in the U18 Division, when the Youth Basketball Guyana [YBG] Regional Conference continued on Saturday at the Cliff Anderson Sports Hall, Homestretch Avenue.

Stephen DeLeon was the architect in the win with figures of 15 points, five rebounds. He was assisted by Riyah Kadir who added eight points and as many rebounds.

For the loser, Shikua Williams tallied 13 points, five rebounds while Shamar Hercules recorded eight points, eight rebounds.

Meanwhile, St. Stanislaus College dismantled Bladen Hall 37-7 in the U14 section. Daniel Bailey top scored with 15 points, three rebounds, while Jamey Bascom added 12 points.

For the loser, Shakeel Edwards scored four points. Continuing in the same division, St. Roses High downed Marian Academy 39-24. Chris Perez led the way with 12 points, with Wayne Williams adding nine points.

On the other side, Trevor Rose top scored with 12 points. In the final result of the section, the Bishops’ High crushed Tutorial High 30-11. Matthias Arrindell recorded 15 points, eight rebounds and six steals.

He was assisted by an eight point effort from Lamar Austin. For the loser, Shaquille Davis tallied nine points.
