Guard found dead with wound to head at Garnett St workplace

The Police say they are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of Keegan Boston, 60, a security guard attached to Cummings Electrical Company located at  83 Garnett Street, Campbellville, Georgetown and of 520 East Ruimveldt Housing Scheme, Georgetown, which occurred at his place of work between 23:00h on 2019/06/15 and 06:15h on 2019/06/16.

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has ordered that the Demerara Distillers Limited (DDL) biomethanation plant cease operation after complaints by residents of wastewater from the plant constantly invading their yards and the roadways.

Mabura police find ganja in ‘spare’ wheels

On Saturday at about 5 pm, the police say that ranks at the Mabura Police Outpost acting on information received carried out a search on a minibus (Route #72) which was destined for  Mahdia and found a large quantity of ganja hidden in two `spare’ wheels.
