GTT finances prostate screening for 150 men

The Guyana Telephone and Telegraph Company (GTT), in an effort to promote prostate cancer screening and raise awareness of the disease, through a multi-agency collaboration, will be distributing vouchers to 150 underprivileged males to access screening and consultation services.

According to the International Monetary Fund (IMF), Guyana’s economic growth was in 2018 strengthened with broad-based expansion across all major sectors but structural reforms including possibly “more liberal” immigration policies are needed to support economic diversification, and achieve inclusive and equitable growth.

Since the turn of the century (2001), children from the Rose Hall Town Youth and Sports Club (RHTYSC) who are preparing to enter Secondary Schools have benefited from a Summer Camp and the Rose Hall Town Branch of Republic Bank is continuing its sponsorship of the event this year RHTYSC Secretary/CEO Hilbert Foster, MS, said this year’s Summer Camp will start July 15 and end August 9.
