Medical services in an atmosphere of fun for the whole family is what is in store at the Mahaicony Medical and Family Fun Day slated to be held at the Mahaicony Technical Institute on the East Coast of Demerara.
The event takes place on Sunday June 23 from 09:00 to 15:00 hrs and in addition to dental services there will be medical services including, blood pressure testing, glucose testing, eye examinations and glasses, and HIV testing and counselling. Also available are masseuse services, relaxation techniques and of course, fun for the children.
The Medical and Family Fun Day is presented by the Guyana Medical Relief in collaboration with the Humanitarian Assistance Program (US Embassy), Humanity First, Central Islamic Organization of Guyana, Guyana Cancer Foundation, National AIDS Programme Secretariat, Dr. Cheddi Jagan Dental Centre, Food for the Poor, Mahaicony Police Department, Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’at, DaSilva Optical, Body Relaxation Massage and Spa Salon, Skin Care and Wellbeing from Alisia’s Beauty Salon, local vendors and volunteers.
