Jamaica: Cop thanks couple who saved his life

(Jamaica Gleaner) Constable Merrick Nelson said his life was saved because of a swift decision by a woman and her spouse to transport him to the hospital after he sustained serious injuries resulting in a motor vehicle collision along the Spanish Town Road in Kingston on October 19 last year.

Senior CASA: Chin lone male Guyanese remaining in the draw

US New Horizons team lauded for work

Minister of State,  Dawn Hastings-Williams, yesterday thanked the United States (US) Air Force New Horizons team for building three community centres, one women’s shelter and providing health services to 13, 346 persons during their exercise here from May to August 2019.

GECOM’s nonchalance

In the aftermath of the June 18, 2019  ruling by the Caribbean Court of Justice (CCJ) throwing out the government’s challenge to the December 21, 2018 motion of no confidence and dismissing the appointment of GECOM Chairman Justice Patterson as unconstitutional, it is important to keep reminding those in power what has been ordained in relation to the holding of general elections so that they can either comply or continue to register their defiance for all to see.
